It seems that spam has entered into the Web2.0 scene. If there was anything that could have been left behind in the evolution of the web it was spam.
Twitter is getting hit hard. In the last week I have removed and blocked at least 15 people in the last week. As much as I love getting new followers on twitter I do not want to be sold timeshare, cars or sex through my social network. Pownce is also getting hit, not that I use Pownce as much (at all).
Twitter has a method of stopping spam, but the method isn’t good enough and they have to come up with a new system. The discussion goes on here.
