I spent some time last night starting what could be a large job of redesigning the Being Primitive theme.  I use wordpress and have followed through a few tutorials and have read (a lot) of CSS to get me started.  When I first started this blog the idea was to continually update the theme to get it looking better.  I started with a very simple theme and although I have touched it up here and there and got it looking more the way I want, I feel the time has come to completely overhaul the theme.

I think I have taken this theme as far as I can in terms of what I can do with it.  Having read many blogs and knowing now what is possible it is time for me to try to take Being Primitive to the next level.  I am going to drop the side bar and have all menu items within the header and the footer.  The posts will be ‘collapsed’ to try and keep the entrance page to one screen (roughly depending on screen resolution).

This will also give me a better idea of what posts are getting read, just now my stats counter collects a lot of entrance hits, but obviously cannot determine what is being read unless people enter into the post… I hope that by having only the start of the post on the actual entrance page people will click on the post (thereby registering with the stats counter) allowing me to spy on people more thoroughly I am still waiting on a hit from Outer Mongolia, surely someone knows someone in that part of the world?  I am still amazed that someone from Tehran (Iran) has been reading though.

As for Being Primitive “content”.  I have been thinking long and hard about this.  I have decided that I will tunr to tech, gadget, web design and reviews (music & movie), from what it is just now. The main reason for this is that just now it is a mish-mash of how I am feeling on a day to day basis with some tech reviews and such like in the mix.  I think that I should pick one and run with it, and I always have something to say about music, music, tech, gadgets and other random “boys toys”.  This will allow me to move back to bottle everything back up again and become a ticking time bomb :) 

Seriously though, I think that I may be able to gain a more regular audience if it is more obvious what I am going to write about.  Even I am bored by my life and my constant whining
