So it has been a few days since my rant about people being arrested for stupid things, like flirting. I then proceeded to fall off the face of the earth. I have been updating with twitter though…

I have actually been busy with a couple of things, namely getting a website together for a client, being amazed with QIK on my new device (lets face it, I can hardly call it a phone seeing as I have only used it as a phone twice) and generally watching 24 to the small hours of the morning.

I have been pretty amazed with the Nokia phone though, especially once I was onto QIK. Erm, I am not sure how much I will use it, however, I do like the idea that they are improving it so you can upload directly to your blog… I have made a page for the QIK video feed here. You can also get to my videos here. It is a bit weird listening to your own recorded voice though, am not sure that I will use it much.

I thought I would go through the pros and cons with the device (Nokia N95 8GB):

Pros:

• Small and lightweight
• Sleek and stylish, especially in black
• 8GB of memory included
• Lot’s of applications available (especially from mosh)
• Sound quality is good
• Front and back cameras (back is 5 megapixels and it has autofocus)
• Easy navigation through menus
• The GPS function and Nokia maps is fantastic
• Very quick when using it with
• The sync with the PC works very well

Cons:

• No touch screen, if you want an iPhone, buy one
• It has crashed on me three times, mostly when trying to get it to download, play music and surf the web at the same time…
• The battery life is okay, unless you use the camera and GPS a lot
• There is an annoying clicking sound when listening to music and navigating through menus
• You can’t expand the memory

All in all I am very happy with it, will give another update in a couple of months. By that time I should have made some phone calls with it…
