I spent some time setting up my twitter tweets on the blog, it is quite a fun feature that allows people to look at my blog and to find out what I am doing, the idea being that I should update it every half hour or so. Whether that actually happens or not is up for future debate, but I thought it was a cute feature that I would give a go. So anyway, back to the point of the post, it took ages to get the text messages working, like it was almost impossible! If you actually click on the more updates button under the primitive twitter feature on the sidebar you will be able to see where they have been sent from (web / txt). It finally started working after registering the phone quite a few times this evening so I am hoping that is the end of the problems with it.
Apart from that I am quite impressed with the Twitter idea (I think this is something that I have found quite late on though). You can ‘follow’ people, directly message people and have their ‘tweets’ sent through to you on text (for free). You can also set it up so that you can actually post ‘tweets’ as blogs, although they can only be up to 160 characters, which wouldn’t make much of a read. So for now my tweets will stay in the sidebar.
