travelling to snowstorms…

The countdown to Canada ended in my alarm clock going off at 3:30am and a flight to Heathrow.  I have to say (and will provide photographic evidence at some point soon) that Heathrow is the worst looking airport with quite possibly the worst customer service that I have ever had the displeasure of going through.  Of course when you have only had a few hours of sleep a lot of these annoyances are magnified.  The flight to Canada was uneventful and the weather since I have got here has been great, lots of very cold temperatures and a pile of snow, so much that even the BBC has reported on it.  I was very impressed, not only with the amount of snow that fell, but the response of the Canadian people!  Their Dodge Ram’s suddenly sprung snow ploughs and driveways were cleared with snow blowers.Christmas Decoration

I have also been out to buy my first ever ‘real’ Christmas tree.  In my family we have only ever had fake Christmas trees, but for $35 you can get a real tree and spend time in a tree lot picking it!  Pretty cool!  You can also then watch it defrost and spend time decorating it, and figuring out which bulb has blown so that the lights wont work…

And with that, I shall sign off and go look for some pain medication for tomorrows teeth extraction.
