I set the target of finishing at least the first draft of the Operadans website for tonight.  I have often set ridiculous targets for myself and then struggled to meet them but I am pleased with what I have achieved. The biggest problem I encountered was some screw ups with the template file, I have to admit I am not sure what went wrong, but basically some code was in the wrong place and it took a while to sort it out today. To celebrate the first draft going live Nicole and I went to Dudok and had some coffee and cake. As you can see I have a couple of little snippets out of the design in this post , but do go to the Operadans site to see the complete design. I have tried a couple of things on this site that I have never really done before, having an entrance page and using CSS design. Using CSS design has certainly made a large improvement in the way websites are put together and I was impressed at how simple it can make things. I also found the missing manual for Dreamweaver 8 an outstanding manual, it has really helped me over the past few days.

The last blog was last Thursday, and this has been primarily due to my dogged determination to get the site together by tonight. I guess my two regular readers will be a bit let down by the lack of blogging so I do apologise!
